What Think Ye of Christ?

That is the most important question you will ever be asked.

The entire message of the Bible is the revelation of Jesus Christ to humanity.
Biblical Christianity is the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Consider Jesus' own claim which is recorded in John 6: 38-40:

“I have come down from heaven
not to do my will but the will of Him who sent Me--
for My Father's will is that everyone
who looks to the Son and believes in Him
shall have eternal Life."

The Bible declares the person of Jesus Christ to be:
·         The Second Person of the triune Godhead
·         The Creator of the universe
·         The God - man (God become flesh)
·         The Living Word
·         The Bread of Life
·         The Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep
·         The Resurrection and the Life
·         Lord of Lords and King of Kings

The Bible declares the work of Jesus Christ as follows:

The Second Person of the triune Godhead would leave the glory of heaven,
take on human flesh,
enter the stream of humanity through the virgin birth,
live a perfect sinless life,
teach the word of God as it had never been taught before,
be rejected by His own people,
be given over to wicked men who would put Him to death...

in that death He would be the perfect sacrificial lamb,
the Heavenly Father would pour out His just wrath towards sin on the lamb
so that sin would be atoned for completely at the cross,
He would then be buried for three days,
resurrected by the power of God,
and would ascend back to His rightful place in heaven
at the right hand of the Father where He waits for the day
when He will return to His creation
to gather His people and judge all men.

In light then of whom Jesus Christ is and what He has done,
again we ask the question - "What think ye of Christ?"
Will you look to Him as your hope of eternal life and call on his name,
pleading for the forgiveness of your sin on the basis of His work at Calvary?

Again, consider Jesus' own words in John 14: 6

"I am the way and the truth and the life.  No man comes to the Father except through Me."
